Rita Martin is a Sr. Blockchain Intelligence Expert and Master Instructor building TRM Academy, the learning community teaching the real world skills needed to bring safety to blockchains. As a former Special Agent with the U. S. Secret Service, Rita was the lead case agent for several transnational organized financial and cybercrime investigations. Her casework targeted not only illicit actors, but also the entities that allowed top-tier cybercriminals to operate with impunity and anonymity. She has served as a facilitator and instructor at centers of excellence around the world including the International Law Enforcement Academies in San Salvador and Gaborone, Homeland Security Investigation’s Cyber Crimes Center, and the National Computer Forensics Institute in Hoover, Alabama. Rita is the recipient of The Secretary’s Exceptional Service Gold Medal Award, from Secretary of Homeland Security (2022) and a Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF) alumnae.
