Head of International Government Affairs
Jon Fink Isaksen is the Head of International Government Affairs at the Stellar Development Foundation, where he engages with policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders worldwide to advance financial access and digital infrastructure.
Before joining Stellar, Jon served as Head of International Policy at Uniswap Labs, a leading software company in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space.
Previously, Jon worked for the European Commission, where he led the crypto-assets team in the Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA). He led the team developing and negotiating the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) Regulation, establishing the first comprehensive regulatory framework for crypto-assets in a major jurisdiction.
Earlier in his career, Jon spent nearly a decade at the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, focusing on payments, fintech, and crypto policy. He has also represented the EU in international discussions on digital finance and emerging technologies through the G7, FSB, BCBS, and FAT
