Katherine Dowling serves as the President of BSTR, the Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company, and will also serve as a Board Member of the Company.

Ms. Dowling is a seasoned executive with over two decades of experience in finance, operations, and law. Prior to joining the Company, she was a member of the Executive Committee at Bitwise Asset Management, Inc. as well the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Ms. Dowling also served on the boards of Bitwise Europe (f/k/a ETC Group) and Bitwise Onchain Solutions (f/k/a Attestant Limited), served as an officer of and board observer for the Bitwise Funds Trust, and served as a board observer and on the investment committee for the Bitwise Multi-Strategy Alpha Fund. During her near five-year tenure at Bitwise, she has helped grow assets under management from $1 billion to over $15 billion, co-led the launch of groundbreaking spot Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (among others), led Bitwise’s two acquisitions in the U.K., formed and registered Bitwise’s registered investment adviser entity Bitwise Investment Manager, LLC, and acted as the primary point of contact with regulators and policy makers. Ms. Dowling also served as a federal prosecutor for over a decade, including in the Economic Crimes Unit for the Northern District of California where she focused on cases relating to insider trading, Ponzi schemes, identity theft and fraud. She has held additional executive leadership positions in private equity and wealth management firms, including as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of True Capital Management, a financial advisory firm focused on the sudden-wealth market, and as General Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Luminate Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on the software space. She has also been a frequent industry media commentator on Bloomberg, CNBC, Fox News and CoinDesk among others and is a regular speaker at industry conferences. She also serves on the board of the Harvard Club of San Francisco, and previously served on the board of the Tiburon Peninsula Club. Katherine is a Phi Beta Kappa and Echols Scholar graduate of University of Virginia as well as a graduate of Harvard Law School..
