Tom is a highly accomplished and experienced technology executive who has made significant contributions to the financial services industry. As the Chief Innovation Officer at Swift, he is responsible for driving innovation across the company and collaborating with the Swift community and partners to create new growth opportunities and position the company for the future. Tom joined Swift in January 2020, with a focus on developing new growth strategies that have helped to further solidify Swift’s position as a leader in the industry.
Prior to joining Swift, Tom served as the Chief Information Officer at CLS Group, where he was responsible for the technology function and further developing the organization’s vision. During his tenure at CLS, Tom served on the Executive Management Committee, helping to guide the company’s strategic direction.
Before his role at CLS, Tom was the Chief Information Officer for LCH.Clearnet, one of the world’s leading multinational clearing houses. As a member of the Executive Management Committee he played a critical role in shaping the technology strategy of the organization, and his contributions helped to position LCH.Clearnet as a leader in the clearing and settlement industry. Throughout his career, Tom has worked for over twenty years in several investment banks, including Bank of America / Merrill Lynch as Head of Rate and Currencies Technology and at Barclays Capital as Managing Director in Technology and Global Head of Equities, Prime Brokerage and Client Technology.
Tom studied Computer Science and Finance from California State University and holds an Executive MBA degree from TRIUM. His academic background and extensive experience in the financial industry have equipped him with a unique skill set that has made him a highly respected and sought-after technology executive.
