Miles Fuller is Taxbit’s Senior Director of Public Sector Relations. In that role, Miles manages Taxbit’s operations, working closely with government agencies and policymakers to understand the digital asset ecosystem. This includes technical expertise around activity within the ecosystem, as well as investigative techniques or assistance with reconstruction of tax or financial calculations relating to digital assets. Miles is an attorney and an expert on digital asset taxation and tax procedure. He previously spent more than 15 years working as an attorney for the IRS. In that role, Miles provided the IRS with advice on examination and collection matters, and represented the IRS in court. Miles conducted trials involving a variety of tax issues ranging from financial products and retirement accounts to complex abusive tax schemes.
Miles spent his last few years as counsel to the IRS as a leading expert on digital asset tax issues, including the tax treatment of digital assets, examination techniques, information gathering, data interpretation, and tax calculations.
Miles’ extensive knowledge of digital asset taxation and tax procedure helps Taxbit continuously refine its products to maintain its role as a leading software company in the area of digital asset taxation, accounting, and information reporting.
