Darlene Newman is Executive Director, Internal Technology Research for The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). She leads DTCC’s internal innovation team, whose mission is to research and experiment with new and novel ideas. She is focused on solving problems and introducing new opportunities for colleagues and the businesses they support.

She has a proven track record of harnessing augmented and virtual reality to drive interactivity, as well as building data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capabilities to provide actionable insights for growth and efficiencies.

Prior to DTCC, Darlene led high-profile digital and data transformation projects at firms across financial services and consumer industries during her 20+ year career. Notably, she launched one of the first digital streaming platforms on a mobile device.

Darlene a recipient of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), National Phoenix Award for her efforts in building a grassroots organization to support small businesses after 9/11 and is an inductee of the University of Arizona’s Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and International Business from the University of Arizona, and an MBA in Finance & Private Equity from the University of Oxford.
